A visit to the construction site in Oroslavje

In Oroslavje, on October 25, 2021, an official visit was held to the construction site where part of the works are being performed as part of the project “Construction of wastewater collection and drainage system of Zabok drainage system and Zlatar drainage system”.

The investment in the collector network in the city of Oroslavje amounts to HRK 59.931,419 plus the amount of VAT, while the contracted value of the Oroslavje wastewater treatment plant is HRK 100.577,358 plus VAT, and includes the construction of 29.919 meters of gravity pipelines, 571 meters of pressure pipelines, 11 pieces of pumping stations, and six pieces of overflow structures. It is divided into two phases, with the first phase comprising 23.829 meters of gravity pipelines, 265 meters of pressure pipelines, seven pieces of pumping stations and six pieces of overflow – said project manager Diego Chersi, adding that in the second phase the remaining 6.096 meters of gravity pipelines will be built. pipelines, 306 meters of pressure, and four pieces of pumping stations.

Chersi pointed out the importance of the project to improve water utility infrastructure, not only to improve the utility system and utility services, but also to preserve the natural wealth of the area.

In terms of positive effects, the construction of a new public drainage system and two wastewater treatment plants will contribute to improving the utility standard, significantly reducing the risk of groundwater pollution, improving health, health and environmental conditions in the area, preserving water quality of the Krapina River and other watercourses in its catchment area. Also, with the construction of two wastewater treatment plants, all collected wastewater from the public drainage system and collected wastewater from septic tanks from the entire agglomeration Zabok – Zlatar will be treated – said Chersi, adding that this project will connect to the public drainage system about 10.000 households.

Mario Mihovilić, director of Zagorski vodovod, emphasized that for a year now works have been carried out in the city of Oroslavje on the second phase, of six kilometers as planned, and all works on phase II should be completed in 2022, and the rest of works on phase I 2023. Investments in the area of ​​the city of Oroslavje will amount to over 160 million kuna, 60 million kuna will be on the collector network, and one hundred million kuna on the device. In addition to the device itself, a solar sludge drying plant will be built in order to solve a large part of the problem that currently burdens the state the most, and that is the sludge obtained from the purifier. We will process it and after that it will have to be taken care of. It will be one big water treatment plant. The location permit is being obtained, and the main projects are nearing completion. We expect to have a building permit during the winter and work will begin during the spring.
