Press conference as part of the Project “CONSTRUCTION OF WASTEWATER COLLECTION AND DRAINAGE SYSTEM, ZABOK DRAINAGE SYSTEM AND ZLATAR DRAINAGE SYSTEM”
In Stubička Slatina, on February 28, 2023, a press conference was held to present the progress of the construction of the Oroslavje Wastewater Treatment Plant. UPOV Oroslavje is part of the complete public drainage system of the Zabok agglomeration and only as part of the complete system achieves its purpose of construction – purification of waste water from the public drainage system. UPOV Oroslavje is located in the area of the City of Oroslavje. UPOV Oroslavje is a municipal wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 36,940 ES III. level of purification, which consists of several interconnected buildings (above ground and underground) in which the technological processes of wastewater purification take place. The excess sludge will be dried as part of the Oroslavje WWTP at the solar sludge drying plant. A plot of around 3.0 ha is available for the construction of UPOV. The fenced area of UPOV is about 2.5 ha. The discharge of purified waste water from the UPOV to the Krapina river is carried out by a pipeline about 160 m long (of which 96 m is outside the UPOV fence) laid partly under the state road DC1.
The construction of the UPOV Oroslavje with the Zagorski Vodovodov was contracted by the company STRABAG (the contractor) based on an open public procurement procedure of high value and an executive decision on the selection. The contract was concluded with the application of FIDIC contracting conditions – FIDIC Yellow Book, according to which the contractors are obliged to design, build and commission the building/plant in the framework of the construction, while conducting trial work in which they prove the required functionality through defined technological parameters of the quality of purified wastewater. All connections to the collector system (sewage) will be free.
