Visit to the construction site as part of the project
“CONSTRUCTION OF WASTEWATER COLLECTION AND DRAINAGE SYSTEM, ZABOK DRAINAGE SYSTEM AND ZLATAR DRAINAGE SYSTEM”
Sveti Križ Začretje, on September 6, 2022, an official visit was held to the construction site where part of the work is being carried out as part of the project Construction of the waste water collection and drainage system of the Zabok drainage system and the Zlatar drainage system.
“Today we gathered at the construction site on the occasion of the start of asphalting works and the final rehabilitation of roads. In the following months, we will continue to work on this. Asphalting should from now on follow the dynamics of other works, which also applies to all further, new sections. We are satisfied with the progress of individual LOTs. By the end of this year, the Contractor intends to increase the implementation to 50%, and to complete the works by the end of 2023. We are currently in the process of finalizing the solution to the problem of the price increase of materials due to the current disruptions in the market. On LOT II, we expect the work to be completed by the end of November, when the contract with the Contractor ends. There should be no delay here, because the work on the construction of the collector has practically been brought to an end. I expect that all the teams that are currently working on LOT II will be redistributed to LOTs I and III, in order to increase the dynamics of work execution here as well”, said Mario Mihovilić, director of Zagorski vodovod.
The tour of the works was also attended by the Deputy General Director of Hrvatske vode, Mr. Davor Vukmirić, who praised the excellent relations and communication between all project stakeholders. “We have been following complaints about the asphalting of certain sections, however, on behalf of the management of Hrvatske vode, the general director, my personal name and on behalf of all professional services, I am asking for your understanding. This is a huge project, which not only this community, but also many other communities in Croatia, do not remember. The project is subject to weather conditions and many other problems. Just in the past two years, we had a pandemic and a war in Ukraine, which caused an escalation in prices. We are satisfied that the problem with prices will be solved, which affected both the Project and the Contractors, who really should not have to bear this burden alone. The winter period is ahead of us, and until then we have enough time to solve everything that is planned, with the great patience of the locals and citizens. That patience will be rewarded in the next fifty, even a hundred years, not only in terms of a more ecologically acceptable life and environmental preservation, but also in terms of creating assumptions for a significant economic upgrade. Zagorje Vodovod has always been an important partner of Hrvatske vode, and we have successfully completed all the projects we started together – the same will be true with this one”, concluded Deputy General Director of Hrvatske vode, Mr. Davor Vukmirić.
